When your last food blog goes small town viral because of how often people hit ‘share’…
What’s the next place a food blogger visits, and how does she get people to care?
I traveled to downtown Piqua to a restaurant called 3 Joe’s…It’s family-owned for three generations and worthy of so much praise but whether or not this love I throw will be shared and will help, honestly who knows?
What was a 1968 pizzeria became an Italian extravaganza galore…It’s known for everything from intimate date nights to eat-by-myself nights to children pleading, “We want more!”
The external structure transports you to another place with its garden patio and what looks like terra cotta and stone…It’s truly such a perfect spot to set such a lovely tone.
Enter the lobby with views of an eye-catching telephone booth, the bustling kitchen, and the extensive wine list…Look as you walk by the tables or the chandelier of spoons and other interesting finds you may just miss.
From salad to pizza to subs to pasta to appetizers and dessert…whatever you do take your time, enjoy yourself, and don’t try to finish your meal first.
The decor summons smiles and the paintings and pictures pique your curiosity and sense of fun…
The lighting helps a restless soul breathe and sparks an idle spirit to run.
Let the scents surround you… oregano, marinara, basil, and thyme…And take a peek at the drink menu, which has everything from cream soda to espresso to Moeller Brew Barn OH Helles to margarita with lime.
If you bring your children, you may want them to share…They’ll receive as large of plate as an adult and their meal will be given the same level of care.
Although you can simply stop and visit… You may want to take advantage of their special service, where you can call and be texted when your table is ready in less than a minute.
If you’re close enough for delivery, then you’re lucky it’s true…For the rest of us, it’s worth the drive to experience something new.
3 Joe’s is a Miami County hidden treasure that needs to be unearthed…
And if I can be a small part of doing that, then this food blog has proven its worth.
Love yourself & others,
E

I disagree, the food was edible but not enjoyable. My in-laws took me there for my birthday, a party of 8, and everyone hardly ate their food. I think for an Italian recipe their Italian dressing was week and the Cacio e Pepei was tasteless. This is one of my favorite dishes and it wasn’t even a close second to how it is prepared. I know we won’t be back.
